On the night

Welcome to the MCG

In the same spirit that we welcome young people who walk through our doors, you will be warmly welcomed as you arrive at the MCG by volunteers and staff from MCM.

It may be chilly, so please bring warm gear, like a sleeping bag, blanket and extra layers to wear.

Entertainment, fun & games

This is a fun night for a serious issue. As such, there is no shortage of entertainment and activities. Comedy, music, games and of course our PJ fashion show. Lots of fun and loads of laughs.

Real stories

Join our panel discussion to hear from an amazing group of young people with lived experience of homelessness. Feedback from past events has shown this to be an incredibly impactful and eye-opening experience.

Time for reflection

Quiet rooms, a multi-faith prayer room and mindful activities are available throughout the night. It's the perfect way to relax and reflect on all of your experiences throughout the night.

The power of teamwork
End Youth Homelessness

Sleep At The ’G is a unique opportunity to get your friends, family, colleagues, neighbours, or your club together and join you in sleeping at the MCG.

You'll learn about the issues facing young people and hear first-hand their personal stories that will inspire you and broaden your understanding of homelessness.

Of course it's also a night of fun and entertainment with live music, games, DJs, a fashion parade, prizes and lots more!

It's an unforgettable night to share together.

#MCMSLEEPATTHEG

Not many people get to spend a night at the MCG, so make sure you share
your experience on social media and use the event hashtag - #MCMSleepAtTheG

Take advantage of the venue's free WiFi to show off your bed for the night (or your pyjamas!) and what you're up to.
Plus, it's a great way to ask friends, family and colleagues to make a donation and support you in helping to end youth homelessness.
