Every night, over 122,000 Australians experience homelessness. That’s more than the maximum capacity of the mighty MCG. Alarmingly, a quarter of all these people are between the ages of 12 and 25.
In Victoria, more than 7,600 young people experience homelessness every night.
Homelessness is not a choice. Homelessness doesn't discriminate.
As managers of the People's Ground we will be braving the cold and the concrete to Sleep at the 'G to raise funds and awareness for the thousands of young people who need not only a safe place to sleep but ongoing support and services from organisations like Melbourne City Mission.
